How to navigate Canton Fair Areas A, B, C and D—and meet your group afterward

Areas A, B, C and D are not four permanent product categories. The section layout changes by fair phase. Find your supplier’s complete stand reference on the current 140th-session map, plan how your group will meet inside or outside, and confirm a separate vehicle pickup point. A stand number cannot establish where a car may stop.

Trip planning essentials
  • Select the right phase before reading a hall map; the product layout changes.
  • Record the stand, group rendezvous and vehicle pickup as three separate locations.
  • Check that every colleague has left the exhibition and collected belongings before departure.
  • A commercial car quote must use a confirmed outside-venue pickup point and the real onward route.

One meeting can involve three different places

The fair complex has a street address—No. 382 Yuejiang Zhong Road, Guangzhou—but that address cannot replace your supplier’s stand or a practical place to meet a driver. Make three fields in the shared plan: supplier stand, group walking rendezvous, and vehicle pickup. The supplier and current official listing establish the first. Your party should select a clear, accessible place for the second. A transport provider must confirm the third under the arrangements applicable that day.

Use the official buyer and exhibitor services to confirm the company, then open the map for your actual phase. A screenshot from another session is not a dependable route plan. If a stand changes, update the note everyone shares, including the colleague who manages transport. Merely telling one attendee in a chat can leave the rest of the party at the old hall.

From stand to car, without skipping a handoff
  1. Verify stand

Use supplier confirmation and the current map.

  2. Order halls

    Cluster nearby accepted appointments.

  3. Regroup

Account for every traveller and bag.

  4. Confirm pickup

Agree a feasible outside stopping point.

Editorial route aid; the current organiser map and on-site management take precedence.

Read Area A–D inside the right phase map

The organiser provides separate section maps for Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3. For a concrete example, the current Phase 2 map includes some kitchenware and ceramics halls in Area A; furniture and building materials halls in Area B; household items halls in Area C; and gifts and home-decoration halls in Area D. That illustrates the method, not an assertion that every item in a category is confined to one area or that the same allocation applies to the other phases.

Schedule by hall without pretending walking time is fixed

Keep confirmed meetings in nearby halls together where possible and leave unconfirmed stands in flexible gaps. If several colleagues need Area A while one also needs Area D, they may split their visits and regroup later rather than moving the entire party repeatedly. Do not turn a straight-line map distance into a promised walk time: entrances, security arrangements, queues and the day’s pedestrian flow all affect how a route works.

On the day, recheck the applicable official map and follow on-site directions. If a supplier says “meet at the entrance”, ask which entrance, and whether it is inside a credential-controlled area. A colleague who still needs a badge cannot necessarily reach an inside meeting point. When somebody has limited walking capacity, verify the final pedestrian leg before choosing a station or car drop-off.

A four-person exit protocol for colleagues in different halls

Illustrative scenario: two colleagues are researching products in Area A and two are in Area B before a shared hotel trip. Appoint one person to run a simple departure check. Each attendee reports the last stand visited, whether the meeting has actually ended, and whether their own bag and samples are with them. Put a precise outside rendezvous in the group message, but keep it distinct from the eventual vehicle stop until the carrier confirms that stop. A location pin alone is weak if one colleague cannot enter the pinned area without a badge.

If one supplier discussion continues longer than planned, the group can update the agreed meeting time, let part of the team leave by another mode, or request a revised vehicle arrangement. No option should be assumed free of charge or available without checking. When someone is temporarily unreachable, do not tell the driver that everyone is ready or mark them as boarded. A short headcount at the meeting point avoids turning a missed message into a missing passenger after departure. This protocol is an editorial team-management aid, not an organiser rule or a claim that a car can stand at a particular entrance.

Write the rendezvous in words as well as sending a map pin: area, nearby public landmark, side of the road if relevant and the group contact’s phone number. Give the same instruction to colleagues who plan to leave by metro, so nobody waits beside a car they were never assigned to. At the agreed time, update the driver with the actual passenger count rather than the number on the original booking request.

Our car service: book around where people can actually meet

When colleagues finish in different areas but leave together for a hotel or another city, our exhibition transport service can assess a group pickup. If the day continues to several confirmed supplier addresses, compare day hire with separate single transfers. In the enquiry form, provide the last area visited, each person’s likely finishing sequence, agreed outside meeting point, luggage collection stop and onward address. Ask for the scope of waiting, stops and changes in writing.

We are an independent commercial transport provider, not the fair organiser. A driver cannot promise access to a particular hall doorway or a restricted venue road. A vehicle reservation also does not perform a headcount: agree who checks that the party and bags are together before the car leaves the permitted pickup point.

Frequently asked questions

Is “Area B” enough to find an exhibitor?
No. You still need the phase, hall, stand and accepted meeting instructions; the area label alone covers a broad part of the complex.
Can a driver wait at a named hall entrance?
Do not assume so. The actual stopping point depends on current traffic rules and a provider’s confirmation.
Our team finishes in different areas. Where should we meet?
Choose one accessible outside rendezvous, appoint a group contact and confirm the separate vehicle pickup or divide the journey into legs.
